Overview
Part 1:
The morning session training program covers the requirements of the Singapore standard on waste management for MICE. It is applicable to the entire MICE industry, with particular relevance for Event Organisers, Venues, F&B Caterers, Stand Builders and Exhibitors.
Part 2:
The afternoon workshop will be conducted considering the various supply chain participants focused on the aspects of their activities that generate waste thereby impacting the environment in general and contributing waste to landfills. The workshop provides practical guidelines to participants to have control, reduce waste, manage the waste generated and account for the waste contributions from a MICE business event.
Learning Outcomes
This initiative promotes awareness and provides guidance to all interested parties of the MICE to reduce specific waste generated by each stake holder. This will enable them to start establishing specific initiatives and set performance indicators to set goals and measure achievement to ultimately contribute to meeting Singapore Green plan goal of a 30% reduction in the amount of waste sent to landfill per capita per day by 2030.
